The FIRE HALL is home. It's where we regroup and pull
together as a family. We laugh and fight and interact as a
unit...just like any family does. We gather ourselves up after a
call that disturbs us to the core...one that tears us up inside.
It's our safe place where we can be ourselves without the prying
eyes, without those who consider us to be something
special...role models. We can bring each other back to some kind
of normalcy, either through humour, be it black or not, or
through our Critical Incident Stress teams.
