Flag's cyberspace chronicleFlag's point of view about the industry and cyberspace.
Incredible, I survived all the food that my inlaws fed me at different XMas parties held in the family. Every year I wonder why we have to take so many meals during the Holidays. Poor turkeys and pigs. But it is like that with my wife's family. They all love cooking and filling you up! My mother inlaw is really terrible on that, she never stop offering more food and/or 5 to 6 different cakes or pies, OUF!
Anyway, now I need a food rest and I am enjoying a few days off. Great time to relax and write this chronicle!
I have selected three very different subjects. WHY? God knows...
My first selection this week will please a lot of fans. We know how good the kid is but what do we really know about him, his career to date and his plans. Well, two students from Sherbrooke University are proposing an unofficial site about him. I surfed it the other night and found it very interesting. It's new, still very preliminary but it has a lot of potential! They also link with other interesting sites on Villeneuve, may it be on his father Gilles or himself. Check it out at: The unofficial Jacques Villeneuve Site
I am convinced that this site has tremendous potential for growth with Jacques Villeneuve entering the big circus which is F-1 in 1996. We will keep an eye on the site, revisit occasionnaly and enjoy...the ride!
On a totally different subject, there is another sport that is still very popular in our country even if the game is quickly moving to the south. Our national sport "hockey" is being sold out to the big American Boys. In 1995 we lost the Nordiques (Quebec City) and next year we are losing the Jets (Winnipeg). We still have a team here in Montreal, but it is not what it used to be anymore. I miss the confrontation between the Quebec Nordiques and the Montreal Canadiens (Habs). For those with a passion for the sport (still) go check the NHL site
From this site, you will also be able to link with your favorite team in the NHL, all teams are there. Remember to be careful, dont skate on thin ice...
There was also another site that got my full attention for at least two hours in December, most probably because it answered all of my questions on the subject. Any business or manager who is thinking "Export" has to address the question of ISO and the site I am proposing here is just that: Very informative...
You will find it at : http://www.iso.ch/
Until next time, I would like to offer every reader a very happy and prosperous New Year and at the risk of sounding reduntant, I'll repeat
IF YOU DRIVE, DONT DRINK!
or is it
If you drink, dont drive!
Have a very fine day!
