Flag's cyberspace chronicleFlag's point of view about the industry and cyberspace.
Now that the Holidays are over, I'm back to tell you about my winter vacation. I did not take a vacation this year! My wife was so mad at me she did not talk to me for two full days. Now she is OK and understands my passion a little more. Flag is passionnate also!
Instead of vacationing, I worked on a new project of mine that I am very proud to introduce to all Flag's readers tonight. I have a new site all to myself that has a totally different vocation. For those of you that will pay us a visit, I hope that you will enjoy and come back often because we will have new stuff about Gilles Villeneuve, the Museum and even the new kid on the block: Jacques Villeneuve.
You will find the new site at: www.firstcontact.com
Once you are in the site, you will want to see: A tribute to Gilles Villeneuve. This is my own little story about October 1978, my first experience at Formula One racing as the new pit exit man back than.
To my surprise, the site which opened on december 29th got a nice total of 1752 hits in it's first 10 days. I'm very happy, surprised, and I wish to thank all my friends that helped me on this new site and made this possible, specially François Pilon that also spent his holidays working on this dream of mine. Merci Beaucoup François!
Now! The BIG-BIG news. Since we opened the 1stContact site, we have also added an important new site on the net. This time it is more than a simple tribute to my lost friend. It's the real thing. The place where all Gilles Villeneuve's friends will want to come and visit.
Gilles Villeneuve Museum is my new pet. It is a big task mainly because we want this site to be available to most people on the planet. So we will propose the site in four languages. The site is now open in English, it will be available in French within a couple of weeks, Italian and Spanish before reopening of the Museum on May 5, 1996.
Please visit us at: www.villeneuve.com
There is something new we are doing with this site. A TRIVIA. We hope that it will be a popular place for true Villeneuve's fan to search in their files or memories and participate to the trivia every month.
Next time , I'll tell you about a contest related to this TRIVIA. We are talking to generous sponsors at this time and we will have great news for you in a very short time.
Got to go now, I'm driving to Boston tomorrow morning (I still have a job to do for a living) and as you all know, the whole New-England area is under a lot of white stuff we like to call SNOW up here in Canada. The Yankees are calling it with a different name I would not dare repeat here... To much class for that! Oups! Where is your "netiquette" Flag?
Ho! By the way, many "surfers" to this chronicle are curious to know who is Blanche Bolduc? I will not tell you yet, it is to early for Blanche! But keep coming back here, she will have "her day" in here, I promised her I would talk about her and I always keep my promises, always! Trust me...
Have a very fine day!
