Spring is just around the corner.

Every time I have an opportunity to go to the Sugar Shack for an outing, I know that spring time is not far away. Last week, I was doing a presentation (I do work sometime) with the Bonneville Windows and Doors staff and customers at a sugar shack in Frampton, a small village in la Beauce, Quebec. More than 100 guests were taken by bus to "La Cabane à Pierre" a superb maple sugar complex owned and operated by Pierre and Sandy Faucher.

We were all very impressed by the main building itself which is a pure example of log cabins from the start of the century. There is an immense open fire place standing right in the middle of the main dining room. Everything in the place is as authentic as you could dream. The meal that was served was very typical of the sugar shacks meal plus the special attention that the Beauceron are capable of... and that is a lot of TLC.

The management was surprised and impressed with the capabilities of the NET when they witnessed my presentation and they asked me how they could get on this powerful new media to promote La Sucrerie de la Montagne and La Cabane à Pierre.

Here is my surprise! Guy Bonneville and myself had a little discussion over dinner and we both decided that we would collaborate to make it happen for Sophie and Helene. Both ladies really took special care of us during our visit and we are happy to reciprocate with a new web page on the net. Guy and I hope that this WEB presence will help both sugar shacks get the recognition it well deserve...

Merci Sophie and Helen, we look forward to see you again soon!

To Sandy, Pierre and Stefan Faucher, we send our best wishes for a great spring season and Bravo for the dedication! Its like a love story... for perpetuation of this great Quebec tradition.

Have a very fine day!
